What is a book coach? how is it different from an editor?
A book coach is more than an editor or beta reader. As a coach, I am here to assist and support you throughout the entire process, or whatever parts of the process you want a coach for.
Need help figuring out what your story actually is before you start writing? Want feedback in real-time as you write your first draft? Need to revise but don't know where to start? You're ready to start pitching to agents but don't know how to write a query letter or synopsis? As a coach, I can help with all of these!
I am here to be your support, your cheerleader, and to keep you motivated and on track. As your coach, I will give you and your story my full attention as we work together 1-on-1 through feedback, email, and phone calls.
An editor focuses more on the technical elements of writing. This includes things like sentence/paragraph structure, readability, spelling and grammar, etc. As an editor, I typically read through the manuscript and make corrections, then return it to the writer. Whereas coaching is a more in-depth and personal process.
What genres do you edit/coach?

Can you guarantee i will get published?
Unfortunately, that is not something I or anyone else can guarantee. The traditional publishing process involves many unknown variables that are out of our control. Much of getting published is luck and timing. However, if you put in the work, I can guarantee that we will make your manuscript the best it can possibly be.
If your goal is to self-publish, then I can guarantee to get you to that point and to assist and support you through the process. But I cannot guarantee you will make a certain level of sales. Just like with traditional publishing, the market is always changing, and luck and timing will always play a part.
Why should I trust you with my story?
I am dedicated to working with integrity. I will always be as honest and truthful with my feedback as possible. I take my clients and their work seriously, and want to help each writer become the best they can be, and get their manuscripts to the highest level of quality possible.
I also guarantee confidentiality. Any work you share with me will remain solely between us, unless you explicitly state otherwise. Work you share will not be shared, distributed, or plagiarized in any way. You will have this guarantee in writing.
As a published author myself, I know how important a story is to a writer, and how much the process means to them. I will do everything I can to help writers get where they want to go, because I've been in that position, too.
how does payment work? do you offer payment plans?
After you reach out to me, we will discuss and agree upon a price. An invoice will be sent to you, which must be paid by the agreed upon due date.
I do offer payment plans for most services. When you email me or submit the form about your project, mention you are interested in a payment plan, and we can work something out.
For more information on my payment policy, visit here.
i need feedback asap. do you offer rush services?
I do occasionally take on projects early and return feedback faster than usual. However, an additional fee will be charged depending on individual circumstances. I also reserve the right to decline taking on a rush order if it does not work with my schedule. Please email me for specific info.
